Anéla is the Dutch Society for Applied Linguistics. We organize activities concerning Linguistics in the Netherlands and Belgium. Furthermore we publish a magazine twice a year: the Dutch Journal of Applied Linguistics.

Dutch Annual Linguistics Day 2026

The next edition of the Dutch Annual Linguistics Day will take place on Tuesday 27 January, 2026 at Science Park (Utrecht University, Ruppert building). The program will be filled with lectures, coffee breaks, the annual Language Gala, and an inspiring keynote by Jimmy van Rijt. As usual, at the end of the day, during the Language Gala, the AVT/Anéla Dissertation Prize and the LOT Popularization Prize will also be awarded.
